Kenworthy Peak - January 2nd 2021
This ones a little late, I kept putting off writing up the post and I'm only just getting around to it now. It was a short one so I'll keep it short.
Woke up on Sunday around 9 since I was tired but I still wanted to get a hike in so I hit up Kenworthy Peak in Mission. Its pretty much an unofficial little bump but I wanted something easy. I left around 10 and was at the trailhead at 10:30. It is a logging road pretty much all the way to the top, the snow was decent though so I snapped on my snowshoes and I am glad I did.

We made it to the turn off from the logging road in around half an hour or so. After that it was much more difficult. The snow was very deep and recent logging had left big trees strewn about. Even though I tried to stay on the GPX track I had downloaded I ended up just sort of bushwacking it to the top. It was very exhausting but not too long and soon I was on the top. No views, really.
Headed back down quickly, dropped my water bottle at one point and had to go back up to get it (lesson learned always hook it on). Jebby and I actually ran down the last bit to get back quicker. Was back at the truck by 11:30.
